Are all your pieces fully handmade?

Every piece that leaves my studio has been shaped, refined and brought to life by hand. Occasionally I use a commercial mould as a starting point — but it never ends there. I press the clay by hand, add my own textures, carve in details, set stones and finish each piece individually before it goes into the kiln. No two pieces are ever identical. The mould is simply a foundation; the craft and character are always mine.

Is the jewellery really solid metal?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Metal clay contains real metal particles suspended in an organic binder. When fired in the kiln, the binder burns away completely and the metal particles sinter together into a solid, dense piece of pure metal. It's genuinely magical.

What metals do you work with?

Accepted Answer

I primarily work in copper and bronze, with sterling silver for some pieces. Copper and bronze are usually oxidised to give a beautiful antique patina, then sealed with a hypoallergenic coat so they're completely skin-safe.

How do I care for my jewellery?

Avoid prolonged water contact — remove your piece before swimming, bathing or washing up. If it does get splashed, just dry it with a soft cloth. Store it somewhere dry, and give it a gentle polish with the cloth included in your order every couple of weeks to keep it shining.

Does the jewellery stain skin?

Some wearers may notice a slight green tint over time, as I work with copper-based metals. It's completely normal and harmless, depends on your skin chemistry, and wipes away easily — it won't damage your jewellery. Keeping your piece dry and polished helps minimise it.

What is your repair or replace guarantee?

Accepted Answer

Every piece comes with a one-year guarantee. If your item breaks or tarnishes badly within the first year of normal wear, I will repair or replace it. I stand behind every piece I make — if something isn't right, just get in touch and we'll sort it out. You cover postage to send it to me, and I'll cover sending it back to you.

Is the jewellery hypoallergenic — safe for sensitive skin and ears?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every piece is sealed with a hypoallergenic coat (Renaissance Wax or Protectaclear) as part of the finishing process, making it safe for everyday wear. The metals themselves — copper, bronze and sterling silver — don't contain nickel, so there's no nickel-allergy risk from the base metal either.

How do I find my ring size?

The easiest way is with a piece of string (or a thin strip of paper) and a ruler — wrap it snugly around the finger you want to size, mark where it overlaps, then measure that length in millimetres.

Can rings be resized after I receive them?

Resizing is sometimes possible, depending on the design of the ring — some textures and settings allow it, others don't. Get in touch with your ring and I'll let you know what your options are.

Can I request a custom piece?

Absolutely — I love commissions! Contact me through the Custom Orders page or via email. Tell me what you have in mind — a wedding band, a birthday gift, festival jewellery or LARP kit. I take on a small number of custom pieces at a time to ensure every order gets the care and attention it deserves.

How long do custom orders take?

Custom orders typically take 2–4 weeks from final design approval, depending on the complexity of the piece. I'll always confirm a timeline with you before starting work.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Accepted Answer

Yes, I ship worldwide from Wales. Any customs fees or import taxes are covered — buyers are not responsible for these charges. Delivery timescales vary — see individual listings for estimates.

How long does delivery take?

Ready-made shop items dispatch within 1–3 working days. UK standard delivery starts from £2.50 and takes 2–4 days; UK tracked delivery is £4.95 and arrives in 1–2 days. International orders ship from Wales and typically arrive in 7–14 days — postage cost varies depending on your order and destination.

Is shop delivery faster than custom orders?

Yes — ready-made pieces from the shop are already finished and dispatch within 1–3 working days. Custom orders are made from scratch just for you, so they take 2–4 weeks from design approval before they dispatch.

Do you offer tracked postage?

Accepted Answer

Yes. UK tracked postage is £4.95 and includes a Royal Mail tracking number so you can follow your parcel all the way to your door. Every piece is carefully packaged in a protective box to make sure it arrives safely. International tracked shipping is also available — just ask at checkout or message me.

Does it come gift-wrapped, or with a gift message?

Yes to both — every piece is gift-wrapped as standard, and I'm happy to include a handwritten gift message too. Just let me know when you get in touch.

How do I actually pay, once I have messaged you?

Once we've confirmed the details of your order together, I'll take payment by bank transfer or PayPal — whichever works best for you.
